2 TECHNICAL SALES SPECIALISTS – FULL TIME, SALARIED POSITIONS

Bihis-Maala Basics is a fast growing company, dealing with the sales and support of High Quality, High performance Chemical and Physical Testing Analyzers and Supplies.  Bihis-Maala Basics, AKA BM Basics is the leading supplier of Coal Analyzers and Coal Sample Prep Machines and supplies being used by the biggest Power Generation plants throughout the Philippines. It also supplies other chemical and physical testing analyzers to the food, feeds, steel, foundry, semiconductor, research and development centers and third party testing labs.

We are in need of 2 Technical Sales Specialists to sell and support technologically advanced Analyzers.

We are looking for creative, resourceful, passionate, self-motivated, self-driven technical sales engineers with unquestionable integrity, positive disposition, and determination to succeed.   Applicants must have at least 3 years laboratory experience in chemical testing/analysis, sample prep and operation of any of the following analyzers:  GC, GCMS, HPLC, LC-MS, XRF, XRD, GDS or Spark Spectrometers, AAS or ICP, and Physical Testing Machines.   Having some sales and/or marketing related experience is a definite advantage.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prospecting, Identifying and establishing new business and new clients
  • Develop new markets for existing products
  • Promote and discuss products to prospective customers, and help identify the best solutions for customers
  • Organize demonstrations, workshops, training and presentations to help clients understand and appreciate the products handled by the company
  •  Provide method development and application support services for supplied products
  •  Configure equipment package offerings based on customer application
  •  Review customer PO/contract terms and conditions
  •  Study industry processes, trends and needs, and identify solutions based on the  company’s product offerings
  •  Prepare sales reports and market analysis
  •  Study new products and provide trainings and training materials to members of the sales team on the applications of new products
  •  Prepare presentations for trade shows, exhibitions, conferences, seminars, webinars and  workshops
  • Prepare Tender documentations
  • Prepare SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) analysis reports
  • Help create promotional materials for each product of the company for Blogs, Videos, and regular content creation for social media promotions
  • Communicate and work with clients to understand their needs.
  • Build long term relationships with clients based on trust, commitment and good intentions
  • Collect and analyze data to learn more about the various market sectors, competitors, and competing products
  • Maintain updated knowledge of company products and support capabilitites.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Candidates must have a Degree in either Chemistry, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Applied Chemistry or other related Science courses
  • Knowledgeable with at least 3 yrs experience in either the Steel/Foundry, Semiconductor/Electronics, Pharmaceutical/Nutraceutical and Water/Waste Water production and Testing Lab processes and analysis
  • Must have experience in operating any Chemical, Physical and environmental Testing Equipment, sample prep machines, and general laboratory instrumentations
  • Willing to learn new technologies and practices
  • Must have an analytical mind and problem solving skills
  • Must have excellent communication skills and Proficient in MS Office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Must have excellent presentation skills
  • Must be self motivated and self driven
  • Must have a positive disposition in life
  • Willing to travel to different places to promote products and attend trainings
  • Experience in Sales or as an applications specialist for analytical instruments, an advantage
  • Driving skills, an advantage

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s/College degree and license in  E.C.E., Electronics, Electrical Engineering and other technical courses designed for machine repairs and troubleshooting
  • must have some experience in the operation, servicing and repairs of either of the following analyzers: Combustion analyzers, Universal Testing Machine,  GCMS, on-line water analyzers, XRF Spectrometer, Medical Analyzers/Testing machines, Ultrasound machine, etc
  • must have the ability to read and analyze electrical/circuit diagrams and schematics
  • experience in component level troubleshooting and repairs, (an advantage)
  • knowledge in refrigeration and experience in repair of chillers (an advantage)
  • Experience in calibration of analytical and other instruments according ISO17025 (an advantage)
  • Resourceful, creative, energetic and can establish good rapport with internal & external clients
  • Good team player and can work with minimum supervision
  • With unquestionable character (honest, truthful, loyal) and charisma
  • Must be Success, Results and Service driven. 
  • Must have good interpersonal skills coupled with good written & oral communication proficiency
  • Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, etc
  • Willing to multi-task, can work under pressure, knows the value of confidentiality and has the ability to resolve machine problems in a timely and effective manner
  • Applicants must be willing to work long hours
  • Applicants must be willing to travel around the Philippines, and in and out of the country
  • Driving Skills and/or with own car (an advantage and preferred)

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Shall have multi-function responsibilities in the Installation, Commissioning, Maintenance, Repair, and Calibration of Equipment we Supply.
  • Conduct Customer Training on the Proper Operation and Basic Maintenance of the Equipment we supply. As well as preparing Presentations to be used for the training.
  • Supervise in the Installation and Repair of Gas Lines and Gas Systems when necessary.
  • Communicate with principals for information necessary to resolve problems with customers’ equipment.
  • Do sourcing out accessories and parts necessary for complete Installation and/or Repair of Equipment.
  • Check customer stock level on consumables and spares of our supplied equipment and make necessary recommendations on items they need to purchase.
  • Educate customers regarding our products.
  • Help out in setting up exhibit booths and seminars.
  • Help generate service income for the company.
  • Create or Fill-up Service Documents required by Customers.
  • Submit detailed Weekly Report and Time Sheets regularly.
  • Coordinate service developments and problems closely
  • Provide over the Phone and Email Support to customers.
  • Shall do a lot of reading and studying of machine circuit/electrical diagrams and schematics
  • Shall prepare and comply with plant safety protocols and other customer requirements for plant entry.
  • Coordinate customer concerns with management and principals
  • Shall check and ensure that instruments for calibration are in good condition prior to calibration of the unit and be capable to repairing instruments should they need to be repaired prior to calibration.
  • Shall have to participate in tenders for Preventive Maintenance Services and completing documentation requirements, whenever necessary
  • Shall handle all requirements in the completion of a delivery, commissioning, or calibration of instruments
  • Shall ensure the timely response to customers and suppliers
  • Shall be responsible in following and ensuring compliance to safety and other protocols for services and calibration (according to internationally accepted standards and methods, and according to PAO approved procedures)
  • Shall do entertaining of customers and suppliers whenever necessary.
